About the job Concentrating – Officer, Document Control #1
Monitor and guide the work of Document Controls Group, to ensure that the Document Issues and archiving functions are completed in compliance with PTFI Operating Procedures and Quality Standard.
Job Responsibility:
- Maintain not less than 50,000 drawing storage including old hardcopies drawings from all Concentrating division’s projects from Oreflow to Portsite and ensure these “non- computerized” drawings are available to archive for the current and future project references.
- Coordinate Capital Project’s Drawing distribution from Oreflow to Portsite construction project area through network system and hardcopies.
- Interface with NOLA engineering office to ensure critical drawings are properly transferred, received and distributes throughout Jobsite.
- Develop computerized drawing archiving system to maintain more than 50,000 full size drawings.
- Provide service for all maintenance personnel related and other department at Jobsite area of historical piping layout, power line, land contour, etc.
The key challenges in this position include:
- More than 1000 drawings are received and distributed through electronic transfer from NOLA every month.
- More than 5000 drawings are distributed every month through various construction projects from Oreflow, Mill to Portsite area.
- Manage document control budget of $30,000 per month including paper and toner.
- Maximize the function of document control computer and equipment system including 1 full size drawing copy machines & scanning systems, server and various computer data backup systems.
The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:
Minimum Education and Experience
- Engineering Degree with 3 years’ experience or
- Technical High School (STM) with 10 years of experience.
- Experience is preferable related to Engineering and Construction, having knowledge of AutoCAD system, able and understand to read drawing especially drawing design coding system.

- Excellent PC skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft products or MS Office literacy.
- Ability to manage time and scheduling to meet appropriate deadlines.
