Superintendent Responsible Production and Human Rights

Under the direct supervision of the Environmental-Sustainable Development Manager, supports the implementation of systems and programs that verify compliance with regulations and responsible production frameworks, including IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines, ICMM Performance Standards, Copper Mark, and LBMA. This role will oversee the implementation of the site Human Rights programs and procedures and will support relevant company leaders to verify the implementation of the Environmental and Social Management Systems, including ISO 14001 certification

Internal Business Coordination

  • Administers the SD Risk Register business function including leading regular risk review meetings, tracking action item progress, and verifying critical controls.
  • Leads the site Human Rights program including the human rights ambassador program, inspections, and other initiatives.
  • Supports the implementation of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and Social Performance Management System (SPMS).
  • Serves as the site subject matter expert related to all responsible production frameworks. Provides guidance, capacity building, and technical knowledge on responsible production frameworks, including regulations, laws, and systems to enable business decisions that are aligned to site obligations.
  • Verifies policies, procedures, and work plans related to responsible production have been executed. Liaison with head offices to verify implementation alignment.
  • Administers assessments and studies, including Environmental Social Impact Assessments, Human Rights Impact Assessments, etc.

Verification Inspections, Audits, and Assurance Reviews

  • Coordinates regular internal EMS, SPMS, and Human Rights verification inspections with relevant business process owners.
  • Serves as the site lead for assurance reviews associated with ICMM Performance Expectations, Copper Mark, and IFC Performance Standards.
  • Supports the administration of internal and external EMS 14001 audits.
  • Coordinates with appropriate internal stakeholders to verify findings have been closed.

Reporting

  • Collects and reviews social and environmental documentation to verify alignment with obligations.
  • Leads environmental and social data metric reporting efforts.
  • Leads the site responsible production software implementation.
  • Develops reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications

  • At least 3 years of site-based experience in a relevant role, including implementation of responsible production standards (environmental, human rights, social, health and safety, etc.)
  • Strong customer service focus and interpersonal skills (negotiating, problem-solving, and knowledge-sharing).
  • Mastery of computer skills sufficient to maintain database.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia (proficient fluency) and English (proficient fluency).
  • Ability to work independently and with teams.
